Postcards from Abandoned Places is, as the name suggests, a book of illustrated postcards that conceptualize real ghost towns, selected from all over the world. These range from the well-known, such as Chernobyl, to those that may be less familiar, such as L’île-aux-marins in Newfoundland, which was abandoned due to its isolation, but was the site of the shipwreck of the Transatlantic, spilling an unusual cargo: jukeboxes! This project was exhibited as part of “The Crying Child” group show at the SVA Gramercy Gallery in February 2015, curated by Viktor Koen.
