Shiny New Everything

Welcome to my shiny new blog!  And my shiny new website!  With shiny new work displayed thereupon!

It’s all so shiny.

Hopefully it is all a good excuse for my lengthy absence from my former blog, before all this shiny happened. But the semester is done (for my MFA program- Illustration as Visual Essay at SVA), and I have been beaten into a whole new shape.  Given that I am at the halfway point of the program, I suppose it is only fitting that I am not entirely sure what that shape is.

I guess time will tell.

In the meantime though, I have ambitions to make the most of this lovely new blog and site, sharing new work, things that are inspiring me, and highlighting the work of some of the amazing artists that are working today, including those I have come to know over the past year.

This Tuesday evening the MFA Thesis Show for my program will be having its reception- and though I still have another year, I will be attending and celebrating the phenomenal work of my graduating peers.  The show, curated by David Sandlin, is on view until May 16th at the SVA Chelsea Gallery, at 601 West 26th St, 15th Floor, New York, NY, and the reception is Tuesday, May 12 from 6 to 8 pm.  So attend if you can, but if you can’t, I will surely be posting about it next week.
